Most people find cinnamon powder easier to use than the cinnamon sticks. Cinnamon is the bark from Cinnamon trees which is carefully peeled off and dried. It should be stored in an air tight container in a cool dark place and has a shelf life of about 6 months. It is a very strong spice and should be used sparingly.
